John Force, the Magic Agent, was a secret agent of the American Security Group (ASG), created shortly before the end of World War I. Force possessed a magic coin that gave him paranormal powers. The Magic Agent reported directly to the President of the United States. At the request of President Roosevelt, John Force joined the other American heroes in the Battle Squadron to fight against the Axis powers during World War II.
The Magic Coin gave Force the powers of hypnosis, illusion, telepathy and extra-sensory perception. However, the Magic Agent was not helpless without the magic of the coin, as he was a master spy and an exceptional hand to hand fighter. Force has an invisible ink tattoo of the ASG emblem on the back of his right hand. The tattoo sends the agent's location and vital signs to ASG Headquarters in Washington DC. When necessary, the tattoo flashes (green to indicate an agent needs help, blue to return to Washington, DC as soon as possible, or red to contact the ASG immediately). Using Morse code, the tattoo can be used to communicate if there is no other alternative. All ASG agents have the tattoo.
