          HISTORY

Rodney Alexander Roche was an orphan raised on the streets of Chicago. As a teenager he was caught red-handed stealing from the Moorish Science Temple. The boy caught the attention of Noble Drew Ali, the leader and founder of the organization, who took him as his pupil, naming him Omar Al-Qadr. Unfortunately Noble Drew Ali died shortly after, but he had already planted the seed of enlightenment in young Omar. He decided to travel to Mecca, study the Koran and discover Islam in all its truth. A few years later he returned to Chicago and found his brothers from the Moorish Science Temple divided into warring factions (among them the Nation of Islam). Meanwhile, on the other side of the ocean, Hitler occupied France and the Nazi threat was also spreading to North Africa. American Muslims refused to participate in the white's war, but Al-Qadr knew that the Axis powers were a mortal danger to the entire world. He found a way to fight the Nazis without joining the army: by becoming a Mystery Man, Al-Qadr the Man of Fate.
