Tommy Reeves was a boy like any other living in the American town of Gleason. When his mother grounded him for playing marbles in the street, Tommy went exploring in the basement of his house. There he found a marble containing a “Djinni.” The Djinni’s secret name was Qareen which means “companion.” Together they solved many mysteries and were members of the group of heroes called the Crime Busters. And when President Roosevelt decided to form a unit with all heroes with special abilities to fight the Axis forces during World War II, Tommy and his magical companion also joined the great coalition of American heroes, the Battle Squadron. Much later, the marble and the genie were inherited by Tommy’s niece, young Tommie Reeves. Tommie met Harry Travers, the Liberty Man (formerly known as the Dandy and former comrade of his uncle Tommy), and the two began dating.
The magic marble can summon a genie who grants Tommy anything he wishes for. The genie gave him a magic wand, but since Tommy was still young and inexperienced, the genie had to help his young master anyway, so the magic wand was soon thrown away.
