The Young Heroes were a team of superheroes primarily composed of children and/or protégés of members of the Crime Busters. Ann Star and the Harpy, the youngest members of the Crime Busters, joined the new team. Dandy left the Crime Busters to help the new team and was chosen to lead it. The biological son of the villain Super-Brain, Brain Boy, who was trying to purge his father's sins, also joined them. New members joined their ranks while some others left. Dandy was killed by Crime Inc. although he returned thanks to the synthetic body of Yankee Doodle Jones (who in turn became the team's resident AI). Tommi Reeves, the unstoppable Goro or the reformed villainess Cyanide Cindy were, for a time, allies of the team and are considered honorary members.
